KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny informed the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley, about the next key tasks of the Ukrainian army.
"I informed my counterpart that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are focusing their efforts on the next key tasks," Zaluzhny wrote on Telegram.
In particular, the matter concerns the liberation of the occupied territories, preventing the enemy from seizing new areas, providing cover for the critical infrastructure of the Ukrainian state with air and missile defense, as well as continuing to form and train reserves for future hostilities.
Zaluzhny noted that the enemy was not successful at the front, despite a significant advantage, in particular, in increasing the number of troops at the expense of the mobilized. According to him, the Ukrainian positions remain unchanged, and the defense operation is being carried out successfully in accordance with the plan.
The Commander-in-Chief also expressed gratitude to General Milley, US President Joseph Biden and the entire American people for helping Ukraine.
