Threats from air do not allow Ukrainians to return home – Zelensky

KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Threats from the air prevent Ukrainians from returning home from forced emigration, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said during communication with students and teachers of Yale University.

"The issues of air and missile defense are the most pressing. They do not allow our people to return home. It is important for us that families and children return, but we need to protect them," Zelensky said.

Speaking about possible deliveries of the American Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, Zelensky said, "If you gave them to us, I would come to you myself."

"This is a priority for us. Any systems are important, they will save the lives of our people," he stressed.

"The United States is the leader, they set the trend for this assistance. From the first days of the war, I spoke about closing the sky. On the ground, Russia cannot do anything with us," the president said.
