KYIV. Nov 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann has arrived in Kyiv on a visit, the German Federal Ministry of Justice has announced.
"We stand firmly on the side of Ukraine. Federal Justice Minister Marco Buschmann left last night to visit the country. One thing is clear: we provide financial, military and humanitarian support — and we will continue to do so. We will not give up freedom and justice!" the ministry said on Twitter on Friday.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, head of the department Denys Maliuska has already held a meeting with Buschmann. The parties discussed the development of international legal cooperation, as well as the development of joint decisions on the creation of a special tribunal to investigate war crimes committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and compensation for damage caused by the aggression of the Russian Federation. The heads of departments also discussed issues of support for Ukraine on the way to its membership in the EU.
Following the meeting, the Ministers of Justice of Ukraine and Germany signed a working program of cooperation until 2024 in a joint statement on legal cooperation between the ministries.
