KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The bodies of 38 Ukrainian defenders have been returned as part of another operation, according to the website of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine on Tuesday.
"The bodies of servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine were handed over. Today we managed to return the bodies of 38 defenders to their relatives," the ministry’s press service said in a statement.
It is noted the process of returning the bodies takes place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention.
A total of 663 bodies have been reportedly recovered since the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons began operating.
