KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupiers continue to pillage and destroy civilian infrastructure in the territory of Kherson region temporarily occupied by them, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Tuesday.
"The enemy continues to resort to looting and destruction of civilian infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region. So, on November 7, columns of trucks with household appliances and construction materials were moving through the dam of the Kakhovska HPP," the report says.
It clarifies that the dismantling and removal of equipment and mobile communication towers of Ukrainian operators also continues in the region.
"In the area of the town of Beryslav, Russian invaders blew up power lines and equipment of a solar power plant. The occupiers took all the art treasures, furniture and equipment from the Kherson regional Museum of Shovkunenko," the General Staff noted.
At the same time, they added that in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region (in Melitopol and Mykhailovsky districts), the invaders are forcing the local population to obtain Russian passports. "At the same time, the invaders take away the passports of a citizen of Ukraine and threaten to relocate," the ministry summed up.
