KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The U.S. architecture company Gensler, in cooperation with the IRS, will help restore the city of Irpin, the press service of the Irpin Reconstruction Summit NGO (IRS) has reported.
Yesterday Irpin Mayor Oleksande Markushyn and Head of the Irpin Investment Council Volodymyr Karpliuk signed a Memorandum between the Irpin City Council and the international architecture and design firm Gensler.
Gensler has become a partner of the city of Irpin and will assist Irpin in the process of complex recovery of the city in cooperation with the IRS and international and local advisors.
Gensler plans to lead Irpin’s comprehensive rebuilding planning process, working with the city and other local and international experts to create a master plan for Irpin; address issues such as urban planning, mobility, sustainability, infrastructure, education, health, reconstruction priorities, security, energy and cultural resources.
Gensler will help facilitate the process of participation of various stakeholders in the project.
