US, UK Dpty Defense Secretaries commit to continue to support Ukraine – Pentagon

KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The United States welcomes the UK’s actions to provide assistance to Ukraine and is ready to continue cooperation in this direction in the future, U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks said, according to the Pentagon.

"Deputy Minister Hicks thanked the British leadership for its contribution (…) and promised to continue to work closely [with London] to meet Ukraine’s future needs," Hicks said in a statement following a virtual meeting between Hicks and British Deputy Defense Secretary David Williams.

The parties also discussed each country’s defense industry base, "the status of the AUKUS trilateral partnership, and efforts to deepen cooperation and information sharing between the three partners," the Pentagon said.

It is noted that the deputy ministers declared their readiness to deepen the U.S.-British relations in the defense and security sector.
