Human rights organizations to set up information office for human rights violations amid Russian aggression

KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Representatives of human rights organizations decided to set up an information office for human rights, which will publish data on human rights violations during the Russian aggression.

According to the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine, this decision was approved at a meeting of Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak with representatives of Ukrainian and international human rights organizations.

"At the suggestion of Andriy Yermak, the meeting participants decided to set up an information office for human rights, which will regularly publish important data for the global human rights community and the media on human rights violations during the Russian aggression," the press service said.

Yermak called on Ukrainian and international human rights organizations to join the work of the office. It will work continuously and will become a platform for information support of Ukrainian prisoners kept by the Russian aggressor.

"We must put pressure on the Russian Federation from all sides, keep this issue in focus at all international platforms and do everything in our power to receive information and work to ensure that an international mission appears," Yermak said.

He also proposed to create an interactive exhibition dedicated to the problems of Ukrainian prisoners held by Russia. According to Yermak, Ukrainians released from captivity and relatives of captives will be able to participate in the exhibition.

"When people see what is happening today, in the 21st century, in the center of Europe, this is better than any political tools," he said.
