KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the leadership of the European Commission represented by Ursula von der Leyen for offering to provide Ukraine with EUR 18 billion macro-financial assistance package in 2023.
“Grateful to the European Commission & President von der Leyen for announcing EUR 18 billion financial aid package for 2023. This shows true solidarity of the EU. Together we resist Russia’s aggression, together we‘ll rebuild Ukraine, together we’ll be in the EU,” Zelensky said on Twitter.
As reported, the European Commission officially announced a proposal to provide Ukraine with up to EUR 18 billion in 2023 in the new format of macro-financial support and for stable maintenance of the vital functions of the state during the war that Russia is waging against the country.
