About 15 facilities hit as result of missile strikes on energy infrastructure on Tues – Kyrylo Tymoshenko

KYIV. Nov 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – More than 90 missiles were fired at Ukraine on Tuesday, more than 70 of them were shot down by air defense forces, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said during a telethon on Tuesday.

"About 15 objects were damaged in different areas. Because of this, we now have blackouts in the following regions: Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions. In general, more than 7 million consumers are now disconnected," he said.

"Our power engineers, together with the State Emergency Service, are doing everything to connect power supply where we can do it as soon as possible. In a few hours there will be updated information on the time frame for the restoration of energy supplies," Tymoshenko said.

According to him, in Kyiv, as a result of a missile hit, there is one dead. "About 500 miners got stuck underground at four mines in Kryvy Rih region. Now our State Emergency Service employees are saving them, I think that within a few hours they will be brought to the ground," he said.
