Ukraine ready to help the world to ensure digital security – Zelensky

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the country is ready to help the world in ensuring digital security.

"My good advice to you is to take the Ukrainian defense experience to ensure the security of your peoples. We have created an IT army that wins in cyberspace. The best specialists and companies have united to protect the state. We repulsed more than 1,300 cyber attacks during the eight months of the Russian war," he said in a video address to the G20 panel on digital transformation.

He recalled that "in the first week of the invasion, Russia destroyed the key data center of our country, and the response solution is the clouds where we transferred part of the information systems. We built the protection of public registers. We preserved the digital strength of banks."

"Thanks to digitalization, we can quickly organize social payments to those who have suffered from hostilities. Millions of Ukrainians daily use our public service Diia. This is more than 100 public services without contact with officials. Digital passport, opening accounts, paying fines and taxes, receiving state aid, fundraising to support the army," he said.

"If you or your allies and partners do not already have such a system and such digital protection, we will be happy to help you build them! Cyber security is cooperation. The stability of institutions is cooperation. Reliable communications, in particular satellite, is also cooperation" Zelensky said.

He noted the need to "reject disputes and develop collective efforts for the sake of global peace and the stability of every virtuous state."

"The G19 can be very successful in this! Ukraine is ready to help. Our security experience is your security experience. And please remember that everything now needs to be considered from the point of view of security," the President said.
