Germany announces additional package of military assistance for Ukraine

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The new German military aid package for Ukraine will include ammunition for MARS II multiple rocket launchers, anti-drone protection, mine clearance devices, automotive equipment, spare parts and field heaters.

"The German government supports the Ukrainian army in close cooperation with its partners and allies. This list provides an overview of German lethal and non-lethal military assistance to Ukraine. This includes supplies from the warehouses of the Bundeswehr and German industry, which are financed by the so-called training assistance of the federal government," the German defense ministry’s website reported on Wednesday.

The report provides a list of supplies delivered to Ukraine as part of military support in 2022, while noting that over the past week, ammunition for the MARS II MLRS, three heavy-duty M1070 Oshkosh semi-trailers (in addition to five delivered earlier), 17 border vehicles (in addition to 22 delivered), spare parts for the M2 heavy machine gun, and 24 MG3 machine guns for armored repair and evacuation vehicles (six were previously delivered).

Also during the week, 116 field heaters, 10 sensors and drone silencers (18 were delivered earlier), 20 frequency extenders for electronic devices, one forklift (three were delivered earlier), as well as six mobile and protected mine clearance devices have been delivered (four were delivered earlier).

"For security reasons, the Federal Government will refrain from providing additional information until the transfer takes place," the message reads.
