Recovery plan for de-occupied Crimea to provide for attraction of at least 30% of tourists from EU, America – official

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The recovery plan for the de-occupied Crimea will provide for the attraction of at least 30% of tourists from the countries of the European Union and America, Head of the State Agency for Tourism Development Mariana Oleskiv has said.

"We are confident that after our victory, Ukraine will revive and become a new market with many opportunities for investment, travel and unique experiences and emotions," Oleskiv wrote on Facebook following her speech at the European Tourism Forum.

She assured European colleagues that, despite the crisis in which the tourism industry of Ukraine is now, the authority continues working on new projects that relate to the creation of routes in memory of Russian aggression and the rules for visiting these locations.

"We are also working on attracting investments in the development of health tourism in our country. The Agency, together with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, are working on a plan for the recovery of the de-occupied Crimea. The goal is to provide at least 30% of tourists from the EU and America," she said.
