UN provides humanitarian aid to Kherson – local authorities

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The United Nations has handed over humanitarian aid to Kherson, head of regional military administration Yaroslav Yanushevych said.

"Kherson received humanitarian aid from the United Nations. It was delivered… 72 hours after the Ukrainian army liberated the city from Russian occupiers," Yanushevych said in a Telegram on Wednesday.

According to him, a humanitarian convoy led by coordinator Denise Brown delivered everything necessary to the city – food, water, hygiene products, building materials, bedding and solar-powered lanterns for more than 6,000 residents of Kherson.

"…over the next month, it is planned to deliver medicines for more than 1,000 patients to the city’s medical center," Yanushevych said.
