Kyiv stands for further investigation of events in Poland, asks for access to explosion site – Danilov

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine stands for conducting the most detailed study of the circumstances of the rocket attack on the territory of Poland that occurred on Tuesday, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov has said.

In a statement by Danilov, published on the NSDC website on Wednesday, it is noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters on the morning of November 16, during which yesterday’s events in Poland were comprehensively reviewed.

"We are in favor of joint with our partners further study of this incident in as much detail as possible. We are ready to hand over to our partners the evidence we have of the Russian trace. We also expect information from our partners, on the basis of which a final conclusion was made that we are talking about a Ukrainian air defense missile," said Danilov.

According to him, Ukraine also asks for immediate access to the site of the explosion to representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"We remain fully open to a comprehensive study of the situation and agree on conclusions based on the full range of available data. Only Russia and its missile terror are to blame for what happened. In this regard, we remind you that it is possible to secure the Central European region from Russian missiles only by developing an effective air shield over the territory of Ukraine," the Secretary of the National Security Council summed up.
