By KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – It is important for Ukraine that China does not choose Russia’s side "no matter what," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"We are in the focus of China strategically. At the embassy level, they communicate and show that they are watching everything and they care. They are interested in the future of Ukraine," he said.
At the same time, Zelensky acknowledged "China has serious relations with Russia, in different formats they are friends, partners."
"It is important for us that China does not choose the side of Russia, no matter what. I would like China to have the opportunity to coincide with its historical wisdom," the president said.
