More than 7,000 people receive medical assistance from mobile teams of Ukraine’s Red Cross Society in Chernihiv region

KYIV. Nov 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – More than 7,000 Ukrainians received medical assistance from mobile medical teams of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine in Chernihiv region, according to its press release.

According to it, the assistance was provided within the framework of the mobile brigades project, which the Red Cross of Ukraine launched in the de-occupied territories. As part of the initiative, the Red Cross organized the work of six mobile medical teams, which made more than 240 trips, visited 94 settlements and provided medical assistance to almost 7,300 residents.

The teams include 30 specialists who provide primary care services to patients where there is no opportunity to physically visit their family doctor due to damaged infrastructure or due to long queues caused by mass migration of the population.

Currently, 67 mobile medical teams are working in 15 regions of Ukraine, which have already provided medical care to more than 53,000 people.
