By KYIV. Nov 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of Freedom and Dignity and assured that the United States would stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary.
"We will remain your partner and supporter in the fight against those who work to destroy the will of Ukraine and its people. We know that Ukraine will win, and we will be by your side for as long as necessary," Brink said in a video statement on the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Twitter page on Monday.
She assured that while Russia again tries to steal the future of Ukraine, the people of the United States recognize the strength and devotion of the people of Ukraine to the right to choose and determine their own destiny.
"We know that the fight for this future is not over. As with the case nine years ago, dauntless Ukrainians of all ages are standing shoulder to shoulder to defend one another. You are once again fighting for your homes and your land, for your lives and your loved ones. Every day we see your determination to go to a stable, democratic and prosperous country for your children. Despite the brutality of Russia’s attempts to erase your country from memory," Brink said.
