Prosecutor General: Motor Sich president's collectible cars, cultural property seized

KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Cultural property, vintage jewelry and collectible cars were seized from President of the Motor Sich Corporation Viacheslav Bohuslaev during investigation into the criminal case against him on collaborationism, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin has said.

"We have been finding more and more property of these suspects [Bohuslaev and his accomplice], first of all, Bihuslaev. The suspects’ property and assets worth almost UAH 1 billion were seized," he said on air of the national telethon on Thursday.

"The seized property includes cultural property and collectible cars. Seven elite autos, of which four are rare, a boat, weapon, 100 units of vintage jewelry, a part of which is dated 450-550 years of our era. These are unique antiquities," Kostin said.

Also, according to him, more than 400 coins, a part of which is dated 3rd century BCE and more than 50 golden plates.

"These jewelry and valuables are authentic, experts have confirmed this," the prosecutor general said.

Bohuslaev asked his close associate to hide this property and remove it from Ukraine, Kostin said.

"The value of the seized property is being estimated, examinations will continue," he said.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said on the Telegram channel that the seized property includes rare autos and guns, as well as Scythian Gold and items of antique and Kievan Rus times.

The Ukrainian special service also said that the perpetrators intended to hide Bohuslaev’s property in the territory of commercial structures controlled by him.

As reported, the SBU detained Bohuslaev and the head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of JSC Motor Sich on suspicion under Article 111-1 (collaborationism) and Article 111-2 (assistance to the aggressor state) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
