Advisor to Naftogaz on international issues steps down

KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Svitlana Zalischuk, a former member of parliament, has stepped down from the position of advisor to the CEO of Naftogaz Ukraine on international issues three weeks after Oleksiy Chernyshov replaced Yuriy Vitrenko as chief executive of the company.

"Last week I ended my work at Naftogaz, where I had worked on international issues for the past 18 months. To be more precise: strengthening joint efforts with international partners in confronting Russia in the energy sector," Zalischuk said on Facebook.

Zalischuk said she will announce her future plans at a later date.

Zalischuk joined Naftogaz in May 2021, a month after Vitrenko was appointed CEO. She previously served as a foreign policy advisor to the prime minister and deputy prime minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration. While serving as an MP of the eighth congress, she headed the subcommittee on Euro-Atlantic cooperation and European integration, as well as a member of the Ukrainian delegations at the Parliamentary Assembly for the Council of Europe and the parliamentary committee for association with the European Union.
