Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin during his visit to the UK has met with the Attorney General for England and Wales Victoria Prentice and the Secretary of State for Justice of the UK Dominic Raab to discuss the prospects for the creation of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression and the introduction of a compensation mechanism for damages caused by the aggressor, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (PGO) said on the Telegram channel on Monday.
"The parties discussed the prospects for the creation of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression and the introduction of a compensation mechanism to cover the damage caused to Ukraine. Andriy Kostin thanked his colleagues for their support on the justice front, as well as the UK’s firm political position on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," it said.
"The assistance of the UK government in matters of justice and bringing the perpetrators to justice is invaluable. In particular, it is the transfer of the facts of war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine to the International Criminal Court and the support of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA), which provides expert assistance to the PGO," it said.
