By KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Gutzeit has said that since the beginning of this year, Ukrainian athletes have won more than 3,200 medals at various sports competitions, the press service of the department has informed.
"Since the beginning of 2022, athletes and sportswomen of Ukraine have won 3,232 awards in wrestling at official international competitions in Olympic, non-Olympic sports and sports of persons with disabilities," Gutzeit said.
According to him, 1,302 of them are gold medals, 959 silver and 971 bronze awards.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Sports, today 1,163 athletes are abroad at a training meeting or at competitions.
