$180 million raised to implement Grain for Ukraine initiative – Zelensky

KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – More than $180 million has already been collected to implement the Grain for Ukraine initiative, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Monday.

"The amount of accumulated funds for our Grain for Ukraine initiative is growing and already more than $180 million – this is one of the largest Ukrainian humanitarian initiatives. And there will be more," he said.

According to Zelensky, "Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Greece, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, the U.S., Turkey, Hungary, Finland, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, the EU have announced a financial and logistic contribution to the initiative – a very significant participation plus the Republic of Korea, Japan. And also NATO and, of course, the UN."

"I am grateful to everyone who takes part, who helps Ukraine implement our peace formula. I am sure that it can be fully implemented, including the item on food security," he said.
