Govt proposes to terminate Ukraine-Russia agreement on procedure for crossing state border by residents of border regions

KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers proposes the Verkhovna Rada to terminate the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Russia on the procedure for crossing the Ukrainian-Russian state border by residents of border regions.

As representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk said on Telegram, the corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on Friday.

In particular, the draft law was approved to terminate the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Russia on the procedure for crossing the Ukrainian-Russian state border by residents of the border regions of Ukraine and Russia.

It is noted that the adoption of the bill will allow the Ukrainian side to complete the domestic procedures necessary to terminate the agreement.
