By BRUSSELS. Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – EU diplomats are discussing the ninth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, it may include 180 new listings, Politico reported on Monday, citing sources in diplomatic circles.
According to the publication, the EU is discussing measures in relation to the technology and financial sectors, as well as the media sector.
Several diplomats said they were confident agreement could be reached relatively quickly, potentially in advance of next Foreign Affairs Council and EU summit. It will take place on December 12.
