Stefanchuk hopes NATO summit in Vilnius to bring Ukraine closer to Alliance

KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk hopes that the NATO summit in Vilnius will bring Ukraine closer to the North Atlantic Alliance.

"We are actively working on our advancement in NATO and very much look forward to the summit in Vilnius," Stefanchuk said, speaking at the Lithuanian Seimas on Tuesday.

He also said that one of the important tasks of Ukraine is full membership in the European Union.

"We will win and achieve all our goals, because we have true friends, among whom Lithuania occupies a special place," the chairman of the Ukrainian parliament said.

As reported, the NATO summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11 and 12, 2023.
