Howard Buffett Foundation to provide $30 mln worth of high-capacity generators to Ukraine – Ukrainian FM

KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Howard G. Buffett Foundation will provide Ukraine with energy equipment, the first batch of generators will arrive in Ukraine next week, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said.

"I am grateful to the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, which will provide Ukraine with energy equipment – high-capacity generators worth $30 million. The first batch – eight generators – will arrive in Ukraine next week," Kuleba said at a briefing on Tuesday.

He also said that the Netherlands has donated 26 heavy duty transformers, spare parts and equipment. In turn, the Ministry of Climate and Environment of Poland handed over 42 km of cable, 259 transformers, flow restrictors, disconnectors.

"All the equipment is waiting for a technical assessment and is being prepared for shipment to Ukraine," the minister said.

In addition, the Czech Republic plans to send a number of powerful transformers to Ukraine.
