Ukraine, Estonia discuss bilateral cooperation on Ukrainian defense, military training

KYIV. Dec 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Head of the President’s Office Roman Mashovets met with Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk, Defense Attache and his Assistant for Bilateral Security Cooperation.

According to the presidential press service, the parties discussed areas for further cooperation with the Republic of Estonia in order to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine and train Ukrainian military personnel.

As noted, Estonian diplomats were given detailed information about the conduct and consequences of Russia’s massive missile attacks on civilian energy infrastructure facilities.

"In this context, the parties focused on the effectiveness of air defense and missile defense equipment which Ukraine receives as material and technical assistance. There was an exchange of experience regarding ways and means of countering Russian means of air and missile aggression," the press service said.

Mashovets thanked Estonia for the significant support of Ukraine from the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion and praised the efforts of the Estonian president and government to defend Ukraine’s interests in international organizations.
