By KYIV. Dec 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – United States Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget A. Brink has expressed gratitude to Ukraine for "continued efforts to secure the freedom of U.S. citizens held by Russia’s forces."
"Great to see a U.S. citizen freed from Russia-controlled territory. Thanks to [Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine] Andriy Yermak and our Ukrainian partners for their continued efforts to secure the freedom of U.S. citizens held by Russia’s forces," she said on Twitter on Thursday.
As reported, Yermak announced that a U.S. citizen, who helped the Ukrainians, was returning home as part of another prisoner swap.
