KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No 7317 on the organization and activities of bodies and persons engaged in the enforcement of decisions during martial law.
At a meeting of the Rada on Thursday, the decision was supported by 318 deputies, with the required 226 votes.
According to the explanatory note, the bill, in particular, proposes to supplement the law "On the bodies and persons engaged in the enforcement of judgments and decisions of other bodies," Paragraph 6 (1), that during martial law qualification examination of a private bailiff is held subject to the availability of opportunities for its implementation.
Also, the draft law provides that for the period until the termination or cancellation of martial law on the territory of Ukraine the validity of orders to restrict the right of a debtor to use weapons is stopped.
In addition, the proposed draft law establishes that during martial law, a decree or other procedural document (or part thereof) issued by a private bailiff may be canceled at the request of a party of enforcement proceedings or a person, if they contradict the requirements of the law.
