By KYIV. Dec 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Members of several parliamentary factions propose the Verkhovna Rada to adopt a bill on Ukraine’s withdrawal from the agreement on the establishment of the Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group (BLACKSEAFOR).
Respective bill No. 0183 has been registered in the Ukrainian parliament on Monday, according to the information on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The authors of the bill include Yulia Klymenko (Holos faction), Heorhiy Mazurashu (Servant of the People faction), Iryna Heraschenko (European Solidarity faction), and Iryna Konstankevych (For the Future group).

The BLACKSEAFOR establishment agreement was signed by Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine in Istanbul on April 2, 2001.
The Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement on June 5, 2003.
The goals of establishing BLACKSEAFOR was to ensure security and stability in the Black Sea waters and outside the region, strengthening and friendship and good neighborly relations between the countries of the region, and intensification of cooperation between the countries’ naval forces.
