KYIV. Dec 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday ordered Secretary of State Antony Blinken to oversee the spending of another $1 billion allocated for military assistance to Ukraine.

"I delegate to the Secretary of State… to direct the drawdown of up to $1 billion in defense articles and services of the Department of Defense, and military education and training," the President is quoted in a White House statement.

The day before, the White House reported that Biden on Wednesday would announce the allocation of about $2 billion to help Ukraine.
