Odesa regional authorities approve development program for Ukrainian language in region's public life for 2023-2025

KYIV. Dec 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration Maksym Marchenko has signed an instruction on the approval of a development program for the functioning of the Ukrainian language in public life of Odesa region for 2023-2025.

"The approval and development of the Ukrainian language is a strategic goal, without implementation of which further development of the Ukrainian state is impossible. There is a necessity in our region to ensure proper use of the state language in various spheres of life," he said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.

The regional authorities will motivate the local population for learning the language, studying and communicating in the state language, as well as implementing relevant projects.

"We are planning to open a chain of Ukrainian language courses, contribute to the development of media products in Ukrainian. The Ukrainian language, especially during the war with Russia, it a matter of our unity, national security and freedom," Marchenko said.
