Bulgaria launches operation to transfer military aid to Ukraine – Bulgarian Defense Ministry

KYIV. Dec 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Friday, December 23, a logistics operation was launched to send military and military-technical assistance to Ukraine, the press service of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense reports.

"From today, a logistics operation will be carried out, under which the assistance approved by the National Assembly will be sent to Ukraine," Deputy Defense Minister Katerina Gramatikova said.

In turn, the head of the country’s defense, Admiral Emil Eftimov, noted that the course of negotiations or the provision of military assistance should remain confidential.

"Having learned the conclusions from the course of hostilities in Ukraine – not only on the grounds of the applied tactics and equipment, but also on the system of material and technical support, the state and capabilities of the defense industry both in our country and in NATO and EU allies. On this basis, we proposed a certain set of weapons and equipment," he said.
