Hitachi Energy and DTEK deliver 52 transformers to Ukraine to replace those damaged by Russian shelling

KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK Group, together with Hitachi Energy Ukraine and Hitachi Energy Poland, have delivered 52 transformers to Ukraine to provide electricity to the grids.

"Thanks to the joint efforts of DTEK Group, Hitachi Energy Ukraine and Hitachi Energy Poland, 52 transformers arrived in Ukraine to restore power supply," DTEK said on Facebook.

The new transformers, essential for the rapid return of light to the homes of Ukrainians, should replace those damaged by Russian missiles and drones, the company said.

They explained that Hitachi, taking into account the situation in the Ukrainian energy system, set up its own production of transformers in such a way that the order for Ukraine became the highest priority: the necessary equipment was manufactured and delivered three times faster than the previously announced deadlines.

"This is unprecedented assistance and support for Ukraine from the international partner Hitachi Energy," DTEK noted, expressing gratitude for the large-scale assistance to Ukraine and the efforts made to help Ukrainians get through the difficult winter during its independence.
