Threat of enemy attacks on critical infrastructure all over territory of Ukraine remains – AFU General Staff

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The threat of enemy air and missile attacks on the critical infrastructure facilities remains all over the territory of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said on Facebook.

Despite serious losses in personnel, the Russian forces still continue their offensive in Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions and try to improve their tactical position in Lyman direction.

The situation remains stable in Volyn, Polissia, Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains military presence in the borderline areas, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been found.

The Russian occupation forces shelled residential areas in Siversky, Slobozhansky, Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, Novopavlivsk, and Kherson directions.

In connection with significant losses in personnel in Luhansk region, there is an increase in cases of desertion of Russian military and abandonment of combat positions. In order to maintain control over the situation, the Russian military leadership increased the number of patrols to detain and return deserters to their units.

The missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian defense forces hit a command point, six areas of concentration of the enemy manpower and military equipment, an ammunition depot, and another important military facility in the past 24 hours.
