By KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov does not observe any signs of preparations for an invasion of Kyiv or the northern areas by Belarus.
As Budanov noted in an interview with the Air Force, the maneuvers of the Russian military in Belarus are carried out in order to turn Ukrainian troops away from the battles in Donbas and the south.
"As of now, I do not see any signs of preparations for an invasion of Kyiv or northern areas from Belarus. Lukashenko is taking all steps to prevent a disaster for his country," he said.
