Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU) has repaired a section of a damaged gas pipeline in Kharkiv region, which made it possible to restore the volume of gas transportation in Donetsk region, the company reported on its Telegram channel on Thursday.
"Specialists of the line maintenance service and motor transport of the Kramatorsk linear production department of trunk gas pipelines quickly found the damaged section of the GTS and carried out emergency hot work. Currently, gas is being transported in full," the company said.
As the enterprise said, the incident on the gas pipeline occurred on December 27 due to hostilities.
"GTSOU employees managed to keep gas transportation to most household consumers in Donbas, but the decrease in pressure in the system affected the gas supply to infrastructure facilities," the company said.
According to the operator, due to severe weather conditions and terrain features, with the assistance of the military-civilian administration, special off-road vehicles were involved in the restoration work.
"The colleagues from the Kharkiv linear production department of trunk gas pipelines also helped with the equipment. By joint efforts, the repair of the GTS infrastructure was carried out in record time," the GTSOU said.
