AFU repels enemy attacks near 15 settlements of Donbas – General Staff

KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past day Wednesday, December 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of Russian invaders in the areas of 15 settlements of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Inflicted 29 strikes on the accumulation of manpower and equipment of the enemy, according to the morning summary of the General Staff.

"The units of the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Stelmakhivka, Andriyivka, Ploschanka and Krasnopopivka of Luhansk region and Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klischivka, Kurdiumivka, Avdiyivka, Maryinka in Donetsk region," the General Staff said on Facebook.

It is also noted that Ukrainian aviation over the past day delivered 17 strikes on enemy concentration areas and four strikes on the positions of its anti-aircraft missile systems.

"Missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit five command posts, three areas of concentration of manpower and ammunition of the occupiers," the Ukrainian forces said.

The General Staff also confirmed significant enemy losses in Zaporizhia region on Tuesday, December 27. In particular, in the areas of the settlements of Tokmak, Titove, Chernihivka, Polohy and Berdiansk, the losses of the invaders amounted to three units of military equipment of various types, a command post, a communications center and about 230 wounded servicemen.
