Russia's missile potential declining, it cannot maintain intensity of missile strikes either in terms of regularity or quantity – Yusov

KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The missile potential of the Russian occupiers is decreasing, they can no longer maintain the high intensity of missile strikes against Ukraine, either in terms of regularity or in terms of quantity, Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, said.

"We are seeing a trend towards longer intervals between missile strikes and a decrease in the number of missiles that have been fired compared to the first massive strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure," Yusov said on the air of the national telethon on Thursday.

According to him, the enemy’s missile potential is decreasing and the invaders can no longer maintain the high intensity of shelling, either in terms of regularity or in terms of the number of strikes.

"However, for us, missile strikes are always bad: these are losses, and wounded, and damaged infrastructure. But at the same time, Ukraine is preparing for each new such attack, minimizing their consequences," Yusov stressed.

Speaking about the missile attack on the territory of Ukraine on Thursday, the representative of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Defense Ministry noted that, despite the massive missile attack, the infrastructure of Ukraine "survived and would definitely survive."

"It can be stated that the tactics of energy terror… despite the large volumes and severe emotional consequences, will not overcome Ukraine," he summed up.
