Dec 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian occupiers carried out 16 air strikes during the day, 15 of which hit the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, according to operational information on the Russian invasion as of 18.00 on Friday, published on the page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The occupiers also fired eight Shahed-136 strike unmanned aerial vehicles, but they were all shot down.
In addition, the enemy made 17 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. "Civilians died from artillery shelling by Russian occupiers of peaceful settlements," the AFU said.
According to the General Staff, the Russian invaders continue to conduct offensive operations in Lyman and Bakhmut directions and are trying to improve the tactical situation in Kupiansk and Avdiyivka directions.
The situation is stable in Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions. There were no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups. In Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the areas of Semenivka and Zalizny Mist of Chernihiv region, Zapsillia and Velyka Rybytsia of Sumy region, as well as Morokhovets, Ternova, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Chuhunivka and Zarubynka of Kharkiv region were shelled.
In Kupiansk direction, shelling was recorded near Kamianka, Dvorichna, Vilshana, Kupiansk, Kotliarivka and Tabayivka in Kharkiv region, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region. In Lyman direction, the enemy fired at Nevske and Dibrova in Luhansk region, as well as Chervonopopivka and Torske in Donetsk region.
In Bakhmut direction, areas of the settlements of Spirne, Berestove, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Mayorsk and New York of Donetsk region came under fire from the invaders. In Avdiyivka direction, Vesele, Avdiyivka, Nivelske, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region came under enemy fire. In Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy fired at Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Vremivka in Donetsk region.
Temyrivka, Huliaypole, Dorozhnianka, Novoandriyivka, Stepove, Kamianske and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhia region and Nikopol and Prymiske in Dnipropetrovsk region were fired upon in Zaporizhia direction.
In Kherson direction, in particular, the civilian infrastructure of Kachkarivka and Kherson suffered from shelling from multiple launch rocket systems.
