Cabinet sets up committee on restoration of Ukraine, headed by Kubrakov

KYIV. Jan 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the creation of a new government committee for the restoration of the country, the development of communities, territories and infrastructure, headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration – Minister for Communities and Territories Development and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

According to government resolution No. 1445 of December 23, 2022, the newly created committee also included a minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, the deputy ministers of Agricultural Policy, Economy, Energy, Finance, Justice, Digital Transformation, as well as the deputy minister for Reintegration and the Minister for Strategic Industries.

In addition, the document defines the competencies of the deputy prime minister for restoration, taking into account the merger of the ministries of infrastructure and communities and territories development, and also regulates the powers in the absence of the deputy Prime minister for restoration. So, in the absence of such, his powers are exercised by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation.
