Ukrainian border guards take two fights near Bakhmut, occupiers suffer losses – Border Guard Service

KYIV. Jan 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took two fights near Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and inside the town on Monday, the Border Guard Service has said on the Telegram channel.

"One of them continues for more than four hours, from 12:30 until 16:50, near the residential area of Pidhirne. A group of 30 Russian occupiers tried to attack a Ukrainian stronghold. Unsuccessfully. Preliminarily, seven occupiers were eliminated and nine injured. Our forces did not suffer any losses," it said.

On the other section, near the Bakhmut landfill, Ukrainian border guards jointly with a Special Operations Forces unit destroyed two Russian observation points in the interval between 16:00 and 17:00.

The aerial reconnaissance of the Special Operations Forces confirmed the occupiers’ losses at five dead and three wounded.
