US Falcon-9 rocket launches two Ukrainian satellites into orbit

KYIV. Jan 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launch vehicle, as part of Transporter 6 mission, launched 114 satellites into orbit on Tuesday, including two Ukrainian ones.

The message about the takeoff of the launch vehicle appeared on Twitter SpaceX at 16:55 Kyiv time. Already at 17:05 there was a message about the successful landing of the flight-proven first stage rocket boosters on the landing platform, and at 18:23 – about the completion of the launch of all satellites by the launch vehicle.

The launch was carried out from Cape Canaveral (USA), where the SLC-40 space launch complex is located.

The EOS SAT-1 satellite of the EOS Data Analytics company (part of the Noosphere Ventures of the Ukrainian businessman Max Polyakov) was launched into orbit. This is the first satellite of the world’s first agro-oriented constellation from EOS Data Analytics, an Earth remote sensing company (an AI-based global satellite image analytics provider founded by Max Polyakov).

The PolyITAN-HP-30 nanosatellite was launched into orbit, created for the 30th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine, which will allow scientists from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to obtain the performance characteristics of heat pipes in microgravity and identify possible omissions and advantages in the process of further development of heat pipes for various space vehicles.
