By KYIV. Jan 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupation forces will continue to form additional assault units in the near future and focus their effort on the seizure of Lyman, Soledar, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Maliar has said.
"According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry, the Kremlin’s plans did not change – to force the leadership of our state to talks. The enemy will continue to form additional assault units in the near future in order to increase effectiveness of its troops. It will focus its main efforts on the seizure of Lyman, Soledar, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka," she said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The Defense Ministry emphasized that the enemy does not suspend mobilization due to the losses in manpower and is most likely to intensify the mobilization in the first quarter of 2023 (the second wave of partial mobilization).
