Jan 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a phone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during which they discussed Turkey’s humanitarian and energy assistance to Ukraine, as well as the issues related to the grain corridor, the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey said on Twitter on Thursday.
"President Erdogan stated that Turkey stands ready to assume a facilitating and mediating role for the restoration of lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine. Noting that workd about prisoner exchange continue, President Erdogan added that Turkey can also provide diplomatic contributions to expedite the process regarding Zaporizhia Nuclear Plant," it said.
