By KYIV. Jan 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign Minister of Germany Annalena Baerbock has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to continue the war after a short break and the so-called ceasefire will bring neither freedom nor security to people.
"If Putin wanted peace, he would take his soldiers home and the war would be over. But apparently he wants to continue the war after a short break," she said on Twitter on Thursday.
A so-called ceasefire "will bring neither freedom nor security to the people who live in daily fear under Russian occupation," the minister said.
"That is why we will continue to support the Ukrainians – so that they can live in peace and self-determination again," she said.
