By KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – European Council President Charles Michel called Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statement on a "unilateral ceasefire" as false as illegal annexations and referenda.
"Announcement of unilateral ceasefire is as bogus and hypocritical as the illegal and grotesque annexations and accompanying referenda," he wrote on Twitter on Friday night.
"There’s an aggressor: the Kremlin. And a victim: the Ukrainian people," Michel said.
"Withdrawal of Russian troops is only serious option to restore peace and security," he said.
