By KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz "for the decision to strengthen our defense, a very weighty decision."
"We will have another Patriot battery and powerful armored vehicles – this is really a great victory for our state. All the details and terms will be tomorrow – after my conversation with Mr. Chancellor," he said.
The United States intends to supply Ukraine with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and Germany intends to provide Ukraine with Marder infantry fighting vehicles, according to the White House website.
In addition, following a conversation with US President Biden, Scholz announced Germany’s intention to join the United States in supplying Ukraine with an additional Patriot air defense battery.
