Enemy concentrating groups for offensive actions – Yermak's briefing for US senators

KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russia is concentrating groups for offensive actions. This was discussed at a briefing held on Friday by Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak for U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Angus King.

At the briefing, according to the press service of the President’s Office, "they also discussed the needs of the Ukrainian defense forces in providing military equipment and ammunition."

"The issues of protecting Ukrainian critical infrastructure, which is still under fire from the enemy, was discussed separately. The importance of restoring transformers of various capacities and equipment of power plants, damaged in shelling, was emphasized. In addition, it was about counteracting hostile cyber attacks," according to the statement.

"The importance of the assistance provided to our country by the United States for recovering and protecting critical infrastructure was noted. The briefing participants familiarized themselves with the current state and development of Ukraine’s air defense capabilities," the press service also said.
